Psychology

I´m studying psychology because I like social sciences, reading everything relates to the human being, learning about how people grow-up and develop them self and I like to know how their mind and feeling work. Also, I´m studying to be a psychologist because I´m a very introspective person and my personality is very compatible with what I study.

I think that a psychologist can contribute to society in different ways. It´s depend on the work area. For example, in a clinical area a psychologist can contribute to decreasing the statistic level of stress and depression in Santiago. But in every area the psychologist should keep the human factor in mind, in every situation (in groups, communities or organizations, like corporation or educational institute).

I think a professional psychologist needs to be a person with social abilities like empathy, emotional intelligence, assertive in the relationships and communication skills. I think all these tools are necessary to be a good psychologist.

My favorite subject is the humanism related with the clinic and the organizational psychology. A few days ago I realized that I´m really interest and passionate about humanist theory, Now I and a group of friends are working on a investigation about the humanist theory for my clinic psychology course and we are all enjoying reading this with a smile on our faces =).

  1. Good job, Isabel Margarita.

Some minor things about your English, though, for example,

"reading everything RELATED to the human being"; the word "themselves" instead of "them self" because you are talking about people, which is plural. and "I would like to know how their mindS and feelingS work", because you are talking about something plural, too. Can you find other problems like these ones? Edit your blog.

    You get 2 points.

    We´ll comment in class.
